This charming sampler is stitched on 40-count 18th Century Stone hand-dyed linen, and fits in our traditional mahogany candlescreen. Colonial Candlescreens, used once to shield the the light source and flame, have resurged, and become the frame of my new sampler design. This is the second in the continuing series. The first, “Candlescreeen Basket Sampler ~ Balance” released in Kit #109. (see Samplers).
The stitch count is 128 (H) x 167 (V). However if you prefer to stitch it on another linen count and not utilize the candlescreen, this is a leaflet, so your options are wide open.
The candlescreen photographed here is one of the items from our new line of hand-rubbed and hand-crafted wooden creations. It is a rich Honduras Mahogany, or clear Alder wood. The hand-rubbed finish is amazing. Precisely crafted by my life-long photographer, Steve Seilo. Indeed a true work of art.
