My husband Dennis so enjoys his woodworking pass time. Always puttering on his new lathe, and array of fine tools he and his Father have collected over the years. When we met a few years back, he quickly caught on to the fine accouterments that make us stitchers click in our stitching nests. I’ve asked him to experiment a bit with a “pretty”, but useful, pincushion. We searched for some fine exotic hardwoods from the Rain Forest, and were more than pleased with our selections. Truly God’s work of art, and such a joy to work with such beautiful woods. All solid natural hardwoods. Amazing.

His new pincushions are such quality finished by hand. Dennis spends hours hand polishing each and every creation before they are set on my pile in the shop to add the bright wool roving, glass beads, and glass head pins ready for your needles, pins and such.

No two are alike, as he explains, a lathe has no mind, but simply turns endlessly as the operator chooses the length of the turns, and the depth of the turn degrees. They really are all different. Impossible to order the exact one you wish, but of course we’d love you to specify the near color match/texture of the wood if you are not familiar with these exotic wood names, and then the color of wool roving you wish to top your pin cushion. We try our best to fill your desires.
